Electromagnetic Frequencies above 30 Hrz and Human Well Being
Frequencies above 30 Hz cover a very wide span of non-ionizing radiation: power-line and appliance fields (typically 50/60 Hz), intermediate frequencies, and radiofrequency (RF) fields used by radio, Wi-Fi, mobile phones, and 5G (roughly kHz to hundreds of GHz). Mainstream health agencies treat these bands separately, and the current status is that causal contribution to disease at everyday exposure levels is not established. Official classifications The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) has two relevant “possibly carcinogenic” (Group 2B) listings, which mean limited evidence, not a confirmed cause: Extremely low-frequency magnetic fields (2002): limited human evidence for childhood leukemia at higher residential exposures (roughly above 0.3–0.4 µT daily average). No accepted mechanism, and experimental studies have not supported a causal link. Later reviews, including WHO and recent Swedish and European assessments, have not upgraded or withdrawn that classi...
